What does Gateshead LINk aim to do?

Give everyone in Gateshead the chance to say what they think about their local health and social care services.

Feed back what local people have said to providers of Services so that things can change for the better and good Services can be

recognised.

Give people the chance to check how care services are planned and run. Research image

LINks can refer issues to Gateshead Council who must respond to the LINk.

What is Gateshead LINk?

A Local Involvement Network (LINk) made up of individuals and groups who have an interest in, and experience of, local health and social care services in Gateshead.

These services include doctors, Hospitals, Residential Care Homes, Mental Health Services and care/support at home.

What powers does Gateshead LINk have?

Trained LINk representatives can enter and view Services that offer publicly funded Day centre imagecare such as residential care homes.

LINks can make requests for information or reports from services that provide Health and Social Care in Gateshead such as Gateshead Council, Ambulance Service, Hospitals, Doctors, Dentists, Day Centres and Home Care. These organisations must reply to the LINk
