Funding advice, information and support

GVOC offers funding advice to voluntary and community groups based in Gateshead. There are staff who can advise on appropriate sources of funding and how best to apply. Directories are available to help with searches and access to various databases which staff will be happy to help with.

If you require any funding advice, you will need to make an appointment with one of our staff, who will be happy to take you through the process whether your group needs a few pounds, a few thousand or hundreds of thousands.

Funding Advice
Funding advice sessions can be conducted over the phone, via e-mail or in person and are available with one of our advisers. In these sessions we define the group's sustainability, assess the organisation's funding needs, appraise current strategies and define new ones if necessary. Contact us to make an appointment.

Funding for Individuals
Funding opportunities for individuals are also available. Due to staffing restrictions no personal contact is made but every enquirer receives a full list of suitable funders, after the completion of a short questionnaire.

There are some suitable directories in our Funding Library, which individuals can access but not loan.

Funding library
We have a comprehensive range of funding books and directories for groups to use during office hours. Directories also include fund raising event ideas.  Users are requested to book their time in advance and expect to take at least 1 hour to complete the funderfinder search.

Funding News
We produce a bi-monthly paper format newsletter.   Within this many funding opportunities are listed.

Support
The Funding Adviser can also assist groups in completing application forms before submission.

GVOC recognises that ongoing support is sometimes needed by groups. Therefore there is no limit as to how many times one group can access our funding advice support in any given time.

Please contact us if you would like any kind of support.
